Dive Master Scuba Internship Courses
Starts June – August and September 2010
Internship – Trainee Dive Master The Package includes:
- ALL COURSES – Open Water, Advanced O/W, EFR (Medic/CPR) and Rescue Diver Courses.
- FULL set of scuba diving equipment to keep – complete set, yours to keep. (List of equipment provided).
- 5 Diver Specialties of your choice, including Emergency Oxygen Provider , Equipment and Nitrox Diver Course (Sorry but we have no Ice diving here in Cyprus)
- Accommodation for 2 months (Apartment style – shared self contained).
- ALL Manuals, Slates up to your Master Scuba Diver rating. (Divemaster Crew Pack Is recommended)
- If you have your own professional equipment then this could reduce the cost.
- 2010 Divemaster Crew Pack
- ALL Fees to PADI up to Rescue. (Divemaster is an application Fees Not Paid)
- Minimum of 60 dives (Un-limited diving offered). Guarantee’s you the adventure of a life time.
Divemaster Materials needed which is included is:
NEW 2010 DiveMaster Crew-Pack and The PADI NEW Electronic eRDPml.
This is the preferred option and is value for money.
Once a Divemaster, you can continue you education and become a Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader. Apart from that, if you’re interested in teaching CPR and first aid, you can become an Emergency First Response Instructor. This EFRI course and teach how to assist injured and ill adults and children, as long as they have current training in CPR, first aid for adults and children. To achieve the EFR Instructor rating this will cost 300 Euros Extra

If you are already a certified diver or from another diver training organisation, our Internship programs may be the best option. However, we cannot give discount on our internship, for courses you may have already taken or crossovers.

Discover Scuba Diving Leader Internship Requirements
To qualify, a PADI Divemaster completes a Discover Scuba Diving Leader internship. This includes conducting four separate real (not simulated) PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in confined water under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor. Divemasters show their ability to conduct effective briefings, in-water supervision and debriefings. Divemasters complete the Discover Scuba Diving Leader Internship Assessment.
The PADI Instructor conducting the internship fills in any missing information and makes corrections as necessary to ensure a complete and well supervised Discover Scuba Diving Program for participants. During the internship, evaluate divemasters using the following Leadership Evaluation criteria. Divemasters score at least a 3 on each performance requirement.

- Independently accomplished the objective without error. Anticipated participant needs.
- Accomplished the objective without error and without significant help from instructor or staff.
- Accomplished the objective adequately, with a few insignificant errors. Instructor correction and intervention limited to brief reminders or suggestions.
- Demonstrated rudimentary understanding of tasks required to meet objective. Made significant errors or omission. Instructor correction and intervention was required for a competent result.
- Made many or substantial errors and omissions in attempting to meet objective; or objective not met.
Briefing Performance Requirements
Divemaster:
Clearly explained participant and divemaster roles
Covered all the briefing points listed in the Discover Scuba Diving Program Instructor Guide
Had participants review and sign the Discover Scuba Diving brochure
Assessed participant’s readiness to participate in the program
Confined Water Performance Requirements
Divemaster:
Set up and checked participant equipment
Had participants practice BCD inflation and deflation at the surface in shallow water.
Supervised participants and maintained a position close enough to quickly adjust buoyancy or respond to any participant problems as they swam around underwater.
Adjusted participants buoyancy effectively
Handled participants problems, if any, effectively
Organized and controlled all confined water activities
Provided a positive, fun experience for participants
Followed all PADI Standards
Debriefing Performance Requirements
Divemaster:
Explained the limitations of the program
Encouraged participants to move on to a PADI certification course
PADI Divemasters who complete the internship submit a PADI Divemaster Discover Scuba Diving Internship Completion form to their PADI Office signed by the supervising instructor.
