The course itself was very interesting, with regards to DM theory and speciality courses. But it was also quite challenging), however by far some of the best experience i have gained was by doing DSD’s. I am glad i got to try pretty much all aspects of what it is to be a divemaster; working the compressor, helping on DSD’s/ cert divers, helping with OW or rescue courses etc.
I was thrown straight into the diving and dived pretty much every day which was a good point, even on days where we were doing DM theory, we still had a chance to get wet. The sites were amazing, and the water was very warm. Cyprus has definitely proven to be the best diving I have ever done, the icing on the cake being the Zenobia!
The social aspect of Cyprus was also very good (i won’t go into too many details here) but nights out did help to make my trip what it was.

My experience with Easy Divers, Cyprus!
Why Easy Divers…? Well.. After searching through MANY dive centres to do this DM internship with, I eventually came across Easy Divers in Cyprus.. and within only a couple of weeks after finding it, quick and effective communication with Joey, I had booked myself on the course- it was so quick and easy and hassle free, it almost seemed a bit too good to be true..
So… what can I say, was it too good to be true?-I’ll let you be the judge of that after reading this:…
I arrived in June with my suitcase in hand and only 7 dives to my name… I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I went with it.
I was met at the airport. As soon as I got in the truck, I felt at ease. When we got to the apartment in Protaras, we put my cases up in the flat and went down to Woody’s Bar downstairs (a friendly family run pub that is quite the local, being right below the apartment and next to the Dive centre..).. I immediately felt like this was going to be a good 2 months! The next morning was the start of it all, and I got straight into it. No worries about the lack of my diving experience-I soon got those dive numbers up!
After the first day, and meeting all the team members, it was clear to me that this was a professional, but extremely friendly and team orientated place! The name chosen for the dive shop rings true to its nature- it is Easy Divers; easy going, chilled out, about having fun, but organised and well run at the same time..
During the course, and in particular the Dm theory part, I realised that actually this course is quite stressful-or could at least have the potential to be, but with the strong team around me, the stress was not apparent. Joey is an extremely easy going and patient teacher (goodness knows I thought I was really going to test his patience with my fading memory of school physics!).
Now, when I say “easygoing”, he is.. but he does like to test his students- I warn you!- especially in the practical parts of the course! But he makes it fun, and he encourages!
When the 2 months was coming to an end, I knew it was going to be hard to say bye to everybody.. Because of the way everything is at the dive shop- living above it, having a game of pool and a beer at the end of the day together, it is like you become a part of the team and the Easy Diver family..
It becomes about more than just the diving..

We have three Options for Padi Divemaster Internship options that vary depending on your time, budget and commitment.

Is the Padi Divemaster Internship fun?

What can a PADI Divemaster do?
After completing your PADI Divemaster Internship, you can:
- Supervise dives by organizing, planning and conducting dives for certified scuba divers.
- Help PADI Instructors during any PADI course
- Independently conduct the PADI Skin Diver course
- Independently conduct the PADI Discover Snorkelling program
- Independently conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving experience
- Independently conduct the PADI Scuba Review program
- Attend the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Speciality Instructor course to be able to teach the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer speciality.
- Accompany student divers during Adventure Dives or Speciality training dives under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor.
- Conduct PADI Seal Team Aqua Missions
- Conduct future dives, under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor, for Discover Scuba Diving participants who have already completed a DSD with a PADI Instructor course.
- Conduct Emergency First Response courses after taking your Emergency First Response Instructor course.
- Padi Divemaster for Technical Divers after attending PADI TecRec Course Padi Sidemount Diving equivalent to the students divers Tec level.
- Becoming a PADI Divemaster is the first step toward becoming a PADI Instructor!

Padi Divemaster Internship Basic – Option 1
Our BUDGET Padi Divemaster Internship, which covers what you need for the 1 month in Cyprus; our incredible cost for the PADI Divemaster Course Option 1:Â Stand-alone DM course only.
Divemaster Internship Prerequisites:
To qualify for our PADI Divemaster Internship course Option 1, you must be:
- 18 years old or older
- Have a minimum of 40 Dives (you could be charged for additional dives)
- A PADI Open water Diver (or equivalent)
- A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- A PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
- An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months.
- Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement, signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
Option 1: The BUDGET Padi Divemaster Internship includes the following PADI courses and materials:
- Divemaster Course (Professional Level) only

PADI Divemaster Internship – Easy Divers Cyprus
Overall the Padi Divemaster Internship – Trainee Dive Master Cyprus has a very flexible schedule. Once the Divemaster course starts, there are a number of course requirements that need to be achieved. The schedule normally follows a set pattern, although it is also dependant on the start dates of our PADI courses. During the course you will be required to assist on a number of PADI dive courses with padi instructors or padi divemasters, Map diving spots, lead and brief dives with real diving customer. Once you have met all the PADI required course standards, you can apply to become a PADI Divemaster directly to PADI with your Application. Our instructors will help you fill out your application. We Will Help Reach Your Goals On Our Diving Internships. It dosnt have to stop here, once you have completed your Padi Divemaster Course you are on your way to be a Padi Instructor through our Padi IDC courses and instructor training courses.

This is the preferred option and is value for money.
Continuing Your Career Padi Diving Instructor Internship
Once a Padi Divemaster, you can continue you education and become a Padi Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader. Apart from that, if you’re interested in teaching CPR and first aid, you can become an Emergency First Response Instructor. This EFRI course and teach how to assist injured and ill adults and children, as long as they have current training in CPR, first aid for adults and children. To achieve the EFR Instructor rating this will cost 300 Euros Extra. If you take the full Package (option 3) we will put you in for your EFR instructor course for FREE.
If you are already a certified diver or from another diver training organisation, our Internship programs may be the best option. However, we cannot give discount on our internship, for courses you may have already taken or crossovers.

Padi Discover Scuba Diving Leader Internship Requirements
To qualify, a PADI Divemaster completes a Padi Discover Scuba Diving Leader internship. This includes conducting four separate real (not simulated) PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in confined water under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor. Divemasters show their ability to conduct effective briefings, in-water supervision and debriefings. Divemasters complete the Discover Scuba Diving Leader Internship Assessment.
The PADI Instructor conducting the internship fills in any missing information and makes corrections as necessary to ensure a complete and well supervised Discover Scuba Diving Program for participants. During the internship, evaluate divemasters using the following Leadership Evaluation criteria. Divemasters score at least a 3 on each performance requirement.
Leadership Evaluation
Score Criteria
- Independently accomplished the objective without error. Anticipated participant needs.
- Accomplished the objective without error and without significant help from instructor or staff.
- Accomplished the objective adequately, with a few insignificant errors. Instructor correction and intervention limited to brief reminders or suggestions.
- Demonstrated rudimentary understanding of tasks required to meet objective. Made significant errors or omission. Instructor correction and intervention was required for a competent result.
- Made many or substantial errors and omissions in attempting to meet objective; or objective not met.
Briefing Performance Requirements
Divemaster:
- Clearly explained participant and divemaster roles
- Cover all the briefing points listed in the Discover Scuba Diving Program Instructor Guide
- Have participants review and sign the Discover Scuba Diving brochure
- Assess participant’s readiness to participate in the program
Confined Water Performance Requirements
Divemaster:
- Set up and checked participant equipment
- Had participants practice BCD inflation and deflation at the surface in shallow water.
- Supervised participants and maintained a position close enough to quickly adjust buoyancy or respond to any participant problems as they swam around underwater.
- Adjusted participants buoyancy effectively
- Handled participants problems, if any, effectively
- Organized and controlled all confined water activities
- Provided a positive, fun experience for participants
- Followed all PADI Standards
Debriefing Performance Requirements
Padi Divemaster:
- Explained the limitations of the program
- Encouraged participants to move on to a PADI certification course
PADI Divemasters who complete the internship submit a PADI Divemaster Discover Scuba Diving Internship Completion form to their PADI Office signed by the supervising instructor.
Power Boat Courses Cyprus
If your idea of being at sea involves speed and excitement then power boating will appeal to you. ‘Power boating’ in RYA terms covers sports boats, RIBs, dories, launches, and other fast motor driven boats up to 10m. They normally do not have any accommodation or cooking facilities on board.
Power boating is a fantastic sport with styles of boat to suit everyone and is most commonly found in dive centres around the world, but it is important to be able to handle fast boats safely. A sports boat in the wrong hands could be a lethal weapon!
You need basic knowledge of boat handling, navigation, rules of the road, use of safety equipment, and maintenance of the boat and its engine. Â Why not obtain the skills you need while enjoying yourself in the sun in Cyprus with Easy Divers?
Want to Try Power boating?
A one or two day course is the perfect way to find out if you would like boating and learning how to handle boats. As with many sports, being taught properly from the outset can make a huge difference to your competence, safety, and enjoyment.
You will find that the RYA Powerboat Course 1 & 2 is one course that will be used around the world in many dive centres.
