We will start in Maumere and head to north Alor first where we will visit the live volcano, do Valley of the Clowns as above along with visiting the snorkeling kids before heading east across the Forgotten Islands and then North through the Banda Sea visiting the Spice Islands of Indonesia. We will dive Manuk which is a snake island where the sea snakes swim all around you before going to on north to Run island which is the island the English traded to the Dutch for Manhattan so very historic for Americans. We will harbour in Banda and dive the sites in the area with beautiful reefs along with the muck diving of the jetty for Mandarin fish and there is also a volcanic sandy bottom for other critters on the jetty dive. There will also be an island tour on Banda itself which we highly recommend visiting the museum and fort and a local plantation for tea, nutmeg jam and biscuits. Lava flow is another interesting dive here where you can see all the black lava flow from the eruption in 1988 and how much the reef has grown back since then, very impressive. From there we go on north to Nusa Laut which has some beautiful reef and on the early morning dives there are often hammerheads and we see schools of bumped parrotfish on this dive also. From there we end the trip in Ambon.
